Dubai played host to the fashion elite this week as Chanel showed its arabic-themed resort collection for 2015. There was the usual fanfare of social media overload, celebrities, and a man made island off the coast of Dubai. One shouldn't over think a Chanel show - the formula is usually pretty simple. Last season saw an cowboy and indian theme, the one before was a supermarket theme. This one resembled Ali Baba meets Princess Jasmine. Lots of glittering embellishments, airy fabrics, crescent moon shapes and big hair. Clichéd perhaps, but there's a reason Chanel does it bigger and better than any other luxury brand: Kaiser Karl. And we love him for it.
