London Collections: Men: James Long FW13
James Long is not a designer that one would usually associate with kitsch. For AW13 however, Long looked to the work of cult director John Waters for inspiration. The designer paid tribute to Pink Flamingos by beading the face of Divine, a long time collaborator of Waters and star of his many films. The designer did not venture too far  from his signature luxury knitwear, and standouts pieces included a knitted bomber that acts as a new take on the classic cardigan and the knitted tops. There were also great outerwear pieces such as the bomber jacket in quilted nylon and the rubberized plaid mac. Both which had great commercial appeal. The designer also collaborated with Kurt Geiger on three exclusive shoe designs as part of the collection, which cleverly echoes the graphic and textured elements in the clothes. @JamesLongLondon @Kurt_Geiger
