London Collections: Men: MAN AW13
The Fashion East MAN show co-sponsored by Topshop saw emerging London designers Astrid Andersen, Agi & Sam and Craig Green showcase their AW13 collections. First out was Astrid Andersen with her colourful, oversized and heavily sports influenced collection. Andersen’s signature mixture of luxury fabrics with sports and streetwear  is intriguing. Agi & Sam, who, like Andersen had their final Fashion East MAN sponsored show, took their man into the countryside. Their signature prints felt right at home with the quilted gilets and cropped trousers. It was a step in the right direction for the young duo. The star of the show was the debut MAN show of Craig Green who explored the concept of shadows in a series of monochrome coloured looks in high tech fabrics such as waxed cotton, crinkle-pleated satin amongst others. There was a strong sense of vision in Craig’s collection, particularly in the looks that featured the plywood head pieces that sprung out the faces and chest of the models. A true showstopper that certainly has us hooked on what else the designer can achieve with a little guidance from Lulu Kennedy and Fashion East. @fashion_east
