London Fashion Week: Antipodium SS13
Antipodium has gathered a bit of a cult following in London which was clearly visible in the crowd attending the labels S/S 13 show. The aptly titled collection 'How to affect robots and influence people' was surely one of Saturday's standout shows. The label continued to explore their witty take on fashion, seeking inspiration from fembots and nip and tucks. The label collaborated with Dr Tim Goodacre, president of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. Together they collaborated on replicating pre-surgical markings on dresses and blouses which proved surprisingly wearable. A clever take on society and fashion’s obsession with perfection delivered in a most chic way. Reworking the wardrobe classics was an intelligent move by the label as it kept the silhouettes familiar and simple. There’s no doubt that Antipodium hit the jackpot with the cool kids for spring and it will most certainly trickle down into mass market for seasons to come.
