Milan Men: Prada SS13
Miuccia Prada has an astonishing ability to find beauty in what the general public will consider ugly. The designer’s passion for referencing both high and low culture can be an acquired taste. For S/S13 the designer continued to push the envelope by presenting a completely homogenised, unisex collection with a nod to Bjorn Bjorg Wimbledon final circa 1977, sweat band included. The distinct vintage colour palette of paired down blue, burgundy and white. A stark contrast to the grandeur of her A/W12 collection. The added presence of the female models donning the same outfits as the male models added to the notion of a completely genderless collection.
