Paris Fashion Week: Acne AW13
In a serious bid for world domination Acne Studios made the trip over the channel from London to Paris and the Grand Palais. An incredibly symbolic change that will surely elevate Acne Studios from brand to designer house. It  was therefore fitting that creative director Jonny Johansson collaborated with artist Katerina Jebb and the Musee de la Mode de la Ville de Paris fashion archive. The fruit of the collaboration was the striking prints of historical menswear pieces scanned from the inside which featured throughout the collection. Johansson also continued his experimentation with proportions as seen on the pre-fall collections earlier this year. Although there were some truly great individual pieces that will surely do great at retail. There was a sense of Acne Studios trying too hard to be a fashion house and finally shed it’s humble denim label beginnings. All in all an accomplished collection and a new beginning of sorts for Acne Studios who will surely settle into the Paris scene for next season and blow us away. #Acne #Paris Fashion Week @Acneonline
