Paris Fashion Week: Gareth Pugh AW13
Gareth Pugh told a tale of dark romanticism for AW13 with a show that saw the designer return to his theatrical and outlandish self. The final looks were a continuation of the inflated and quilted plastic bags dresses the designer famously used for his early shows. This time however the designer had distressed the material to enough to appear fragile and changed the silhoutte enough to seem victorian. The standout opening look, a stark white column dress with stiff cowlneck and embroided gold tree branches were a sort of hybrid of outlandish Pugh and commercialy viable Pugh. It seems that Gareth Pugh, after a couple of seasons in Paris, is finally finding a middle groud for his usually harsh sci-fi aesthetic. #Gareth Pugh #ParisFashionWeek
