Stockholm Fashion Week: Cheap Monday SS13

Cheap Monday showcased it’s grungy S/S 13 collection in one of the most spectacular show venues at Stockholm Fashion Week. The brand took over the infamous skater hangout in Rallis park with a show that was partly open to the public. Cheap Monday’s strength lies in capturing a youthful rebel spirit with it’s clothing and the staging of their elaborate show venues. The rebel spirit  was particularly striking for spring as the models donned  ’A Clockwork Orange’ inspired make up and camouflage painted legs as Alice Cooper’s ‘Poison’ served as soundtrack.

The make-up was cleverly echoed in what will probably  be the coolest pair shades on the high street for spring. The overtly grungy vibe with denim on denim looks were particular interesting in a too cool for school sort of way. The looks that mixed high tech artificial materials layered with soft organic knits were standouts together with the punchy printed logo shirt and t-shirts.
